President Biden Signs Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act and the Jabara-Heyer No Hate Act

President Biden signed the Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act in law on May 20, after a rare bipartisan vote in both the Senate and the House to advance the bill to his desk. The legislation is aimed at bolstering efforts to combat rising anti-Asian hate crimes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
