To families and friends who have lost someone to hate, please know, we will stand with you. The way we stand is with our actions. We have to bolster our communities and build connections and communication as hate escalates.

Watchung, NJ - Bias crimes investigator Detective David D'Amico regularly visits schools to talk frankly and powerfully to the group responsible for the majority of these crimes—young people. His presentation includes cautionary advice not only about how derogatory words used online are hurtful but how they can also make the user a target for recruitment by hate groups. D'Amico works in the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, New Jersey.
