NIOT Bowling Green - 6th Anniversary Celebration

Join us any time between 5pm and 7pm to celebrate our 6th Anniversary!  BGSU President Rodney Rogers and City of Bowling Green Mayor Edwards will give a brief introduction at 5:30pm and we will be looking back at our past and looking for the community input for future planning!  And...what would a celebration be without cake and ice cream!  All are welcome!

Community Forum on Hate Crimes in Queens, NYC

The event, “Using the Power of our Stories to Combat Hate Crimes,” will feature special guest speaker Moisés Kaufman, who wrote the acclaimed play “The Laramie Project” about the 1998 murder of gay college student Matthew Shepard.

2 For Seder

Passover Seders Everywhere!

A new initiative called 2 for Seder has a catchy slogan: “Pushing back on anti-Semitism with love and matzah.” The premise: Invite two people who’ve never been to a Seder—non-Jews in particular—to come to yours, “with the intent of building bridges and creating understanding about our Jewish values,” in the words of its creator, Marnie Fienberg.

Community Discussion & Panel in Marin

Canal Alliance, the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center and Not In Our Town are hosting a meeting for Marin residents to discuss the next steps to build a community group that will work to create safety and inclusion for all residents. This is a follow up from our recent “Light in the Darkness” event at the JCC as many of shared that you are ready to do more.

Not in Our Town (NIOT) BG is the official entity that oversees the "Not In Our Town" effort between Bowling Green State University and the City of Bowling Green. NIOT BG consists of members from BGSU and members of the Bowling Green community. All meetings are open to the public and minutes are available.
