Catherine Jo of Salem, Oregon sent us this handwritten note along with her donation. Catherine Jo, like Katie from Glencoe, IL, raised money for Not In Our Town by selling hand-made goods and donating her profits.

Catherine Jo's message of joining together to "build a solid steel fight" against hate and intolerance has inspired us for years. If you also find Catherine Jo's words inspiring, we invite you to join in her footsteps and donate to Not In Our Town.

My real good news that I would like to share out with everyone of you on how to fight hate crimes. From Saturday, Mar. 1st, '97 until Wednesday, March 19, 1997 I am having a big huge knit sale located here in Salem, Oregon. On Friday, March 21, 1997 I am also heading for TX. I also knit these hand knitted dish cloths all out by hand for to sell out for $2.00 each only. Let's all get together and build a solid steel fight right up against hate crimes with this real good news that I love to share out to people on how to fight out all of the hate crimes. Thank you.

Catherine Jo

From Salem, Oregon with love
