Joint Statement: Take Action to Combat Hate - What Law Enforcement Can Do

The recent spate of violence in our country fueled by hate, racism and bigotry has demonstrated the compelling need for all community members to work toward safe and inclusive communities. Not In Our Town is honored to partner with the International Chiefs of Police Association (IACP) Civil Rights Committee in developing simple action steps that law enforcement agencies can implement to help attain that goal. Making a difference in communities starts with dialogue but has to quickly turn toward the implementation of an actionable plan. These steps can be found in the attached joint statement from Not In Our Town and the Civil Rights Committee of the IACP.
