Five lucky Not In Our School (NIOS) middle school students were included in the May 4 press conference as Stephen Curry was named Most Valued Player for the National Basketball Association (NBA). These students were chosen for their NIOS leadership at their Bay Area schools.
What stood out most to the students was that Curry was willing to persevere. At the press conference, Curry shared that he did not even make the ranking for high school basketball. Other students made fun of him for not being like his father, a star NBA athlete. But Curry did not give up.
