My name is Shantanu Kumar Roy. I am 17 years old and I am going to be turning 18 on  December 25th. I am a 12 grader at Newcomers High School and I am so proud of my school and teachers for their great effort for making me visualize a path toward a bright future. I was born and raised in Bangladesh , however I consider myself as a citizen of this entire world. I have been living in the United States for approximately 3 years. Of course I had faced heard time learning English, but I inspired myself to learn English properly.

I am interested in human rights is because I feel very passionate about it.  As we all know that human rights violation is becoming a very concerning issue day by day , there us as human beings should huddle together to take a step forward to make a difference. I am part of this class is because I consider myself as a youth human rights activist and there fore I think taking this class will help me increase my passion about human rights. My hope is that is the future I become a human rights activist and make a difference in the world .My dream is that every person in the world inspires himself and herself to get involved in to human rights activities.
