62-year-old Ian Baynham, a gay man, was out with friends when he was assaulted by a group yelling homophobic slurs. Baynham died from his injuries on October 13. Police have arrested a 19-year-old man and two 17-year-old girls in connection with the killing. Ian Baynham's death mark the fourth suspected anti-gay murder in London over the past year. Police officials say that homophobic attacks have increased 14% since April.
The candlelight vigil will take place from 8PM to 10PM in Trafalgar Square on October 30th. There will be a two-minute silence at 9PM.
