Here at Not In Our Town, we believe that the most interesting things that are happening are on the ground, in communities big and small across the country. In our 15 years of covering the anti-hate movement, we have witnessed ordinary people do extraordinary things again and again.

 

In fact, the most innovative and creative solutions to building safe and inclusive communities have come from the ground up. Our mission at Not In Our Town has been to capture these movements on film and in print and share them with others seeking solutions to the problems in their own towns and schools, or who are looking to prevent hate and bias incidents from happening. 

 

Now, we turn again to you for your insights. We have joined the Public Insight Network, an incredible tool that allows you to share your thoughts, stories, ideas, and reactions to inform the work of Not In Our Town's film and print publications. We have partnered with several public radio stations.

  • About one email a month. We'll send short questionnaires looking for background information, quotes, and sources for stories tied to specific issues or events. If the question isn’t relevant to you and you don’t have insights to share, please pass on the request to friend or colleagues who may.
  • An occasional follow-up call or email. Our producers and reporters may be in touch to get  more information on a lead you provide.
  • The information you provide will be confidential and it will not be used for marketing, fundraising or advertising purposes. It may be used for stories only with your permission.
