ACTION HIGHLIGHTS
Networking, advocacy, weekly distribution of information about diversity and multicultural events and issues; youth outreach; Hearts in Harmony program that facilitates intentional relationships across cultures. Support and a "safe space" for people and groups affected by racism and prejudice.
CHALLENGES
Creating awareness of issues; battling community apathy.
LESSONS
Individuals, working together, can create a community atmosphere of welcome and respect. It's hard work and takes perserverance and patience.
