Made in L.A. Film Screening

The Montana Human Rights Network will be co-sponsoring a screening of the acclaimed film Made in L.A. on Thursday, December 10th at Mayflower Congregational Church in Billings beginning at 7:00 PM. The screening is free and open to the public.

Made in L.A. is a 70 minute documentary which follows the remarkable story of three Latina immigrants working in Los Angeles garment sweatshops as they embark on a three-year odyssey to win basic labor protections from a trendy clothing retailer. Compelling, humorous, and deeply human, Made in L.A. is a story about immigration, the power of unity, and the courage it takes to find your voice. For more information on the film click here.

We hope you can celebrate International Human Rights Day on December 10th by seeing this film and having some discussion and refreshments.

Free and Open to the Public

Billings Youth Inspired to be AUTHENTIC.

Recently, Not In Our Town Billings had an opportunity to be inside Billings Senior High School to talk about the Not In Our Town movement.  The classes were reading "Night" by Elie Wiesel and were then challenged by their teacher to complete a tolerance and awareness project.

Here is a link to a very thoughtful and creative approach from one Billings teen.
